Today is an important day for me. This week reached its tenth issue.
This is also my birth day, but it isn't my tenth birth day!
Dip on the Rocks, the first EDV
This first EDV took place on June 7-14 in Reykjavík.
Friday, there were 5 players : David Norman, Julian Ziesling and Rob Schone and 2 Icelanders (Jon Thor and Jón Ţór Sturluson). Rob won at Imperial.
Saturday, there're 5 players : David Norman, Julian Ziesling, Rob Schone and Vincent Carry and Victor Kiernan. Rob won again at Imperial.
Sunday, there're 9 players : the 4 non-Icelanders and 5 Icelanders.
A game was organised : Julian, Mike Frigge (an American living in Iceland),
David, Vincent, David Frigge, Einar Jon Masson and Victor Kiernan. Paul Frigge watched the game.
Everyone agreed to stop in 1906, because people had to go home. Germany had 10 centers, France and Turkey 9. Everyone else was dead or dying.
From Monday to Wednesday, they went and saw a lot various stuff around Iceland.
Everybody was very happy. Thanks to Julian, David and Vincent who helped me to make this report. Pictures will arrive soon.

Open du Génie de la Lampe, Swiss step of the Grand Prix
10 players were there for this third edition of the Open du Génie de la Lampe.
4 boards were played during two days and each player played 3 boards.
Christophe Borgeat won the tournament, followed by players from Grenoble : Yan Calibet and Karine Funkiewiez.
Everybody was happy by the tournament and Pierre-Yves hopes to see YOU the next year.
Results of the tournament
Emmanuel du Pontavice takes the first place of the Grand Prix, followed by Gwen Maggi.
In the team competition, La vie est injuste ! (Gwen Maggi, Emmanuel du Pontavice, Frédéric Coste) takes the first place
followed by Tri-Nations (Yann Clouet, Alex Lebedev, André Ilievics). The next step will be the DomDipCup (June 23-24).
Grand Prix 2007
After two step in the Tour de France, Yan Calibet takes the first place followed by Yann Clouet and Christophe Borgeat.
The next step will be Parthenay (July 6-8).

DomDipCup IV : Fifth step of the Grand Prix and second step of the Vier-chancen
After a very successful 3rd edition, which was also the European Championship and had no less than 70 participants, the DomDipCup is back! As many players have experienced at earlier editions this is the event you can’t miss if Diplomacy is making your heart beat faster!

EuroDipCon 2007 : September 8-10 in Marseilles
This year, the EuroDipCon will take place in South of France, near Marseilles.
For the first time, you will be allowed to convoy an army from Marseilles to the Gulf of Lion!
You can find a lot of informations about the tournament and what you will be able to do on the official website.
For example, on Saturday, you will have 2 important events :
the match of Rugby in Marseilles between Italy and New Zealand and the match of soccer between France and Italy in Italy.
This night will be very hot!!

World Diplomacy Championships 17 Aug 9th-12th, Vancouver BC
I hope to see a lot of European players in Vancouver, Canada. It will be probably the most important event of the year! So, YOU CAN'T MISS IT!!

If you come for the WDC, I suggest you to try to play one or two other tournaments.
The DragonFlight (Buz Eddy) will take place the weekend before the WDC in Seattle.
The HuskyCon (Website) will take place the weekend after the WDC in New York.
